Open Letter to Santa Claus - Part Two
My dearest Santa Claus,
Come on now, I thought we had an arrangement!?!!
Where the heck is my pony? My new house on the beach? My lovely new singing voice and guest appearance on Glee? Edward Cullen?
Don't you remember my first letter that I sent you this year? I think I was very clear - YOU OWE ME!!
Now I know you have millions and millions of houses to visit in just one night but COME ON...A DEAL IS A DEAL!!!!
What did I end up getting this year? A Transformer figurine of Bumblebee. No pony. No new house on the beach. No new lovely singing voice. And sadly...no Edward Cullen. I know they say that its the thought that counts but lets just face it, Santa, that's just an excuse we all use to give someone a crappy gift. You of all people should know better.
Now that the holiday's are over and the stress of giving everyone their gifts is done, I'm pretty sure you now have some free time and can now fullfill our little arrangement.
Again...thanks in advance,
Amy
PS. And what's with my brother getting a brand new bike this year? What the crap, Santa! I thought we agreed that he should be on the naughty list?!?

I need a change...
I'm thinking about drastically changing my hair color...again. (It's drastic to me anyway.)
And I wanted your opinion.
Here are the three styles I like. Please tell me which one you like better and if you think I could pull it off.

Here is what I look like now...
(this is my most recent pic - 12/12/09)
I'm the red head...obviously. :)
What do you think? Do you think I could pull any of these styles off?
I'm not convinced...
My roommate, Melissa, is trying to convince me about getting a nose ring (stud) to go with the new hairdo. What is your opinion on nose rings?
Please tell me...should I be brave and go for it??

I'm in love...
...with a new TV show. It's called Modern Family.
AH-MAZING!! HILARIOUS!
Here is the trailer for the show.
This is my absolute favorite character. He makes me laugh.
"Phil Dunphy" played by Ty Burrell
Here are some of my favorite quotes by "Phil"
1. "I'm a cool dad. That's sorta my thang. I text. LOL - Laugh out Loud. OMG - Oh my God. WTF - Why the Face."
2. "Act like a parent, talk like a peer. I call it 'peerenting'"
3. "Claire likes to say you can be part of the problem or part of the solution. Well, I happen to believe that you can be both."
Ha ha ha.
Seriously, you should all go check out this show!
The end.

I'm well on my way to Hollywood...
Okay, not really. *sigh*
I think I have mentioned before that my sister and I were extras
on the TV show Friday Night Lights and that we saw ourselves
on Episode Five of Season Three for .25 seconds. Right?
Well, here is a screen shot of us....
We are on the bottom right of the screen. And if you are a fan of the show, you can see that
"Grandma" was sitting directly behind me. PS. We were supposed to look "not happy".
I had such a great time doing it the first time, so I decided to drag
my friends, Melissa and Ashley, to come with me and do it again.
We went this past Saturday (12/12/09). Our call time was at
2:00pm and once we arrived we had to wait in a really long line so
we could get checked in. (We get paid $75 bucks each for being an
extra.) After we were checked in we had to go to wardrobe to get
our different clothing options we brought with us approved. After
they approved our clothing we stood in line to get our free lunch. I
didn't eat it because it looked really gross. They served mixed
vegetables, instant mashed potatos and rice with chicken.
Here is a picture of Melissa with her meal.
After we ate, we had to sit around and wait for everyone
else to get checked in...which took about 3.5 hours.
Once everyone was checked in, we made our way
to the football field where we filed in and sat
down, waiting for further instructions...
We were given signs and pom poms to hold up during filming.
PS. It was SUPER cold outside...AND wet!
Cold + Wet = Miserable.
Here are some pictures I took before they started filming...
We had a lot of free time in between each shot that was filmed. We
had to do the same thing over and over again until we moved on to
the next scene...But we were having fun. Melissa most of all...she
got really into it and entertained Ashley and I the entire night.
By the time nightfall hit, the weather got worse.
It was colder and it became very foggy.
Ashley and I complained pretty much the rest of the night...but not
Melissa...oh no...she kept cheering and jumping up and down.
Ashley and I were so ready to go home but we still had
eight hours of filming left...that's right EIGHT HOURS!!!
FYI: If you leave before filming is finished you don't get paid. We had to stay the entire time.
Here are some more pictures:
Here is a picture of "Matt" and "Grandma".
He was really sweet - about halfway through the field he looped his arm with hers.
They were done filming for the night and were heading back to their trailers.
Here is a picture of "Landry".
About Midnight, some of us were asked to change our shirts and
switch sides. Once we got to the other side, we were asked to stand
in the front row of the bleachers. Then Ashley and I were told to go
in front of the stands and pretend like we were finding our seats
when filming started. Then Ashley and I were told to stand in front
of the stands and that we were now "Rally Girls". Uh-okay. We
stood behind the "Panther" cheerleaders for one of the shots.
Here is a picture of Melissa and Ashley crossing the field.
This is from when Ashley and I were standing behind the
cheerleaders and as you can see there is "Buddy Garrity".
Here is Ashley as a "Rally Girl".
After those scenes were shot, we were asked to move back
in the stands and then they brought everyone else from the
other side to our side for "blocking". Not sure what that means...
While everyone was changing from their red shirts to
their blue or yellow shirts...they started passing
out sandwiches. The sandwich was AMAZING
but I'm pretty sure it was only because I was starving.
We did another hour and a half of filming
and then they finally called "That's a wrap!"
We followed the crowd to go turn in our payment vouchers
and as we waited in line, one of the crew members started
calling out birthday's. If he called your birthday you would
get an iPod. When he got to June he called June 15th.
AAAAAGGGGGHHH! Mine is the 17th!
AAAAAGGGGGHHH! Mine is the 17th!
After we turned in our vouchers we decided to stick around to see
if we could win any prizes. After he did the birthday thing, he said
he was moving onto bigger prizes and that we would have to
answer a trivia question. He asked "What was the movie that Julia
Roberts won an Oscar for?" And I'm not kidding...I was the FIRST
person to say Erin Brokavich but I'm short and was behind people
and so he didn't hear me but a couple other people did so they
started saying Erin Brokavich, Erin Brokavich. Luckily, Ashley
was right next to the guy and after she heard everyone shouting
Erin Brokavich she tapped the guy on the shoulder and told him the
answer and she WON!!!!! She won a 19.9" Flat Screen TV. That
baby should have been mine, but at least Ashley won and not some stranger!
After the guy had passed out all of the prizes we headed to the
car and went home...by the time we got home it was 3:00 a.m.
We had a great time, although we were miserably cold all night...
We decided that we will only be an extra again if
the weather is going to be nice and warm...
The end.
PS. Here are promo pictures of the characters I showed you
in my pictures above...just so you can see their faces clearly.

Another fun website...
Wordle is a really fun website. You just type in your url and it randomly selects words that have shown up recently in your blog. You can also create one by just typing in random words. It's kind of addicting.
Thanks EYEGIRL for the tip!! :)
Here is one I just created...I love the fact that "boy-pee" made it on the list...

Open Letter to Santa Claus
Dearest Mr. Santa Claus,
Remember the year of 1985? I was four years old and I asked for a pony. Did I receive one? NO.
Year 1986? I asked for a flying reindeer. But oh-no you wanted to keep them all to yourself. That's selfish, Saint Nicholas. Ha. Saint Nicholas. Yeah right.
Year 1987? I asked for a little elf friend and do you remember what you told me? You told me that my mom was close enough. Come on, Father Christmas, that's just mean. I don't care if she is 4'11"!
Year 1988? I asked for a unicorn. And surprise, surprise you failed me again.
I'm 28 years old now and have realized that you couldn't possibly have given me a unicorn because, well let's just be honest - they don't exist but come on, Santa...a pony? You could have definitely given me a pony. You broke my heart, Kris Kringle.
I think it's about time you made it up to me. So, here is a list of things I want this year...please don't let me down this time.
1. Edward Cullen. (He's real. I just know he is.)
2. A new, beautiful house - preferably on the beach somewhere.
3. A pony. (This one should be a freebie. Remember, you owe me.)
4. A husband.
5. A guest appearance on Glee. (Oh and could you give me a good singing voice while you're at it?)
6. A chance to meet Ellen DeGeneres (I would also like to take Mama Kat with me, so please make this happen. I'm not sure if she has been good this year...but it's MY list and MY wish...so her behavior this year shouldn't matter.)
As I was making my wishlist I started thinking...I think you should give me everything on this list...you know, to make up for the disappointment you've been the last twenty-four years. Seriously. It's the least you can do.
Thanks in advance,
Amy
PS. I know I don't have to tell you this but I've been very good this year!
PSS. I don't mean to be a tattletale but no matter what he tells you...my brother has been very naughty this year and I think he should definitely get coal in his stocking.
