My apologies...

So, I'm pretty sure you don't need to read this post to know this but I'm throwing it out there anyway... I have taken a break from blogging. And not only have I taken a break from blogging but I've taken a break from reading your blogs, too. And I'm truly, deeply sorry for that!! (I will try and catch up soon!!)

Anyway, I just wanted to give you an official announcement that I will be taking a break from this little blog until after the holidays.

I hope everyone has an awesome Christmas and New Year!!!

PS. I wanted to say a little something that has been on my mind and on my heart.... WHAT THE HECK!!! I stopped blogging and reading blogs for just a couple of months and when I come back (although I'm not officially back) I see that most of the blogs I read on a daily basis are all women who are now pregnant!!What? Did you guys all agree to get pregnant at the same time? What's the deal? Why didn't I get the memo?? Now I know I'm single and all but if you would have let me known I would have tried and worked something out... Come on, guys!! I'm a team player - I wouldn't let a minor little detail like being single get in my way! ... Just sayin...

With all of that being said (with some sadness and feelings of being excluded) I wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS to:

Jenny at Practically Perfect
Valerie at Next to Heaven
Susannah at The Edwards Edition
Heather at Living Life As A Newlywed
Aura at Aurajoon

Oh and to Connie over at about him & her for the arrival of their new little bundle of joy!!!

I know there are some of you that I'm forgetting... Sorry about that. But if you let me know or remind me...I'll add you to the list! :)

Happy Holidays from The Burns'

Thanks to Shutterfly I was able to help my brother and
sister-in-law get Christmas cards to send out this year.

All I had to do was write a blog post about the promotion Shutterfly was
having and wah-la... I received free 50 Christmas cards.

I let Brian and Liz pick out their own card and decide
what pictures they wanted to use and here is their final product:

Thank you so much, Shutterfly!!!

Happy Holidays!

Have a holly, jolly Shutterfly Christmas!

Growing up, my family had never taken photos to put in Christmas cards...ever! (It's weird, right?)

Anyway, now that my brother and sister-in-law have a new baby - I forced the idea on them! (You are welcome!) And me - being the awesome photographer that I am - offerred to take their family photos for them with my fancy-schmancy camera!

Here are some of the photos I took of Brian, Liz and baby Josiah!

I had such a blast taking their photos and now I am super excited to head on over to Shutterfly to create the Christmas card of their dreams!! I'm even more excited that Shutterfly is doing a blogger promotion that will allow me to get 50 holiday cards for FREE! Woo hoo!!

Here are a few of my favorite designs that you can find over on the Shutterfly website.

I have been using Shutterfly for the past five years and I absolutely love them! I've made about four or five photobooks that are super easy to make and a lot of fun. I could log in to Shutterfly and start designing photobooks and not even notice that hours have passed by. Seriously.

I have also printed out hundreds of prints and the quality is absolutely amazing. Shutterfly is the only place I go for all of my photo printing needs.

They have other things you can create on their website, like: Magnets, Keychains, Mugs, T-Shirts, Calendars and so much more!

Go check out their website at http://www.shutterfly.com/!

It's
D-E-C-E-M-B-E-R!!!!

December is my absolute favorite month!

Why, you ask?
Well, let me just tell you!!

1.
Everyone around me seems to be happier in December.
I love the cheerful attitude you see everywhere you go.

2.
Bon bons hit the stores in December.

3.
It's the only time of year I actually enjoy shopping!
I love buying presents! My only problem is I have
a hard time waiting until Christmas to give it to them.

4.
I can drink lots and lots of cinnamon hot chocolate.

5.
I'm not the biggest Christmas music fan but I do
love me some Josh Groban - O' Holy Night!!

6.
I love going to the Trail of Lights at Zilker Park in Austin.
(Sadly, they are not having it this year!!)

7.
Sarah "forces" all of the women to get together to
string popcorn for her Christmas tree - as we watch Elf.
(sometimes she feeds us...sometimes.)

8.
Seeing all the Christmas decorations
everywhere I go - puts a big smile on my face!

9.
Watching Chrismtas-themed commercials makes
me get excited about the upcoming holiday.

10.
I get a very nice Christmas bonus from work.
Woo hoo!!!

11.
I love spending time with my family during the holidays!
(Its the only time they don't all get on my nerves.)
Ha ha.

12.
This year will be especially exciting because
it will be my nephew's first Christmas! Yay!

13.
I get to eats lots and lots of fudge!

14.
In the month of December - I am super duper happy,
cheerful, gleeful, pumped, joyful, blessed, excited, delighted

... get the picture yet? No? ...

thrilled, chipper, jubilant, overjoyed, glad, pleased,
blithe, light-hearted, contented, exhilarated,
exuberant, elated. Oh... and in an awesome mood!
(Note: Please don't think the other 11 months of the  year I am grouchy - I'm
usually always in a good mood but in December I find that I am especially happy!)

15.
Elf
(the movie)

16.
Christmas Traditions

17.
Winter clothing.

18.
Fireplaces.

19.
Paid days off of work.

20.
Spending time with close friends.

21.
Two words:
Christmas Candy

22.
I usually get a lot of books and movies I want but
haven't had the money to buy for myself.

23.
It's always exciting to see what Christina
comes up with for Christmas presents!
I loved everything she gave me last year,
especially my Bumblebee!!!
(No pressure, Christina)

24.
I'm not a fan of cold weather but in the
month of December it is awesome!!!

25.
CHRISTMAS!!!!

The end.
