{WARNING}
THIS IS A POST FOR WOMEN ONLY
Last October (2010), Ashley bought me a cute new swimsuit that I had been wanting as inspiration to lose weight for the cruise...
Sadly, I waited to late to try and lose weight.
I just tried on the swimsuit last night and I honestly don't think I can lose the amount of weight I need to - to be able to fit into that swimsuit.
So I went looking online to find a last minute swimsuit but all the good swimsuits are already gone. Great timing, right?
Anyway, I did find a cute-ish swimsuit at Target for only $35.
However, I did find an etsy seller who makes really cute swimsuits and I showed her a picture of my favorite swimsuit that I found a long time ago (it is no longer for sell). She said she could probably make something like it for $82.
Here it is:
I think to get it in time she would have to use some fabric that she already has so the black and white part would actually be black with white polka dots and the red part would stay red.
They both have their pros and cons...
Here is another CON to the one on the left and and a PRO to the one on the right... The swimsuit on the left is from Target and it is only available online. The problem is that they don't have a size chart/guide listed so I would have to guess at what size I need. So if it's the wrong size - I wouldn't be able to use it on the cruise. The swimsuit on the right is custom made and made to my specifications so it should fit perfectly.
Another CON for the suit on the right is that it has the potential to make "the ladies" look bigger. I hate how big "the ladies" already are and I really don't want to draw that much more attention to them.
What do you think? Which should I choose??
Which one would YOU choose?
What I hate about one piece suits is the hassle that comes with having to go to the bathroom...
How do you feel about one piece suits? Do you think it would be lame for a 30 year old to wear one on a cruise?
I have always hated they way one piece suits look but it seems that they have come a long ways now, right?
Note: I'm not someone who wears a bikini (even at my skinniest). I usually buy tankinis. But I haven't been able to find any cute ones right now. It's a horrible time to look for a cute swimsuit!!
Please help me decide!!

If I had the money to spend, I would go with the two piece. I would feel more comfortable and willing to wear it, which makes a HUGE diff!
BUT if I was trying to save to splurge on the cruise I would go left!
Also,
Thank you for commenting on my Subway art! I just posted a video on how to do it yourself using picnik :) Happy Crafting!!!
I would buy the one you LOVE!
I'm a cheapskate, so I'd probably go with the Target one. That being said, the fact that they don't have a sizing guide is just weird. I would probably buy 1 in 2 different sizes and just return the one that doesn't fit, but I say go with the one that you really, really love and that you think you'd be the most comfortable in. Nothing's worse than wearing a suit that makes you uncomfortable!
PS - One pieces are totally OK :-) I have tankinis and one pieces, and I think it's all about how they look on you. If it looks good, then wear it!
I'd probably go with the custom one because it'd be a style you love and it's a custom fit.
I'm not a fan of one pieces either (I opt for tankinis), but that Target one is super cute!! So honestly, I don't think you can go wrong. If you decided to go with that one, I would do what Jenny said and buy a couple different sizes then return the one that doesn't fit.
If it's in your last minute budget, I'd definitely go with the second one. I love the colors and style and to have it customized for you is AWESOME! It's not hoochie mama in anyway so I think the "girls" may have some attention on them but in a classy way :p
I tweeted you my answer, but I'll post it here too. I'd pick the target one. First of all, (just my opinion) I think it's cuter. In fact, I kind of love it and want it for myself. Hahaha. Plus, the $47 extra dollars wouldn't be worth it for me to get the custom one.
You can always order multiple sizes online from target and return the ones that don't work. Of course, it won't be as perfect a fit as the custom one.
Ultimately, it just comes down to whether or not you want to spend that $47 on a swimsuit or something else. I don't think it's going to make your bust look much bigger, although it might draw attention to it with the bright color. But, I wouldn't that stop you if you LOVE it.
Good luck with choosing!!
ps-- there's a trick to making a one-piece work in the restroom, but is prob not appropo for published blog comments. haha
I think having a suit custom-made would be totally worth it if it's in your budget!
One tip I've picked up for Target's "online only" stuff- I take note of what brand the item I want is and try to find something similar in the same brand in the store. At least that way you can get an idea of what size you are in that particular brand.
