Oh, happy day!

This week has been really noneventful.

It is a bore when compared to last week.

Last week consisted of a second date, a Friday off of work 
for my birthday and an explosive all-day birthday party.

This week...well...

Anyway, this is a happy post and I'm going to be positive. :)

I am super happy that it is Friday!!

I am so happy I got to go to Kerbey Lane for dinner
with Ashley on Wednedsday night and thanks
to Groupon - our check was only for $1.81.

I am so happy that I got to spend some time with
the Hatcher's last night. Brent & Sarah made some
awesome steak with mushrooms and onions. I
never knew I liked steak!! It was quite tasty!

I am so happy that the family is getting
together for my mom's birthday this weekend!
Yes, June is a very busy birthday month in our family.
Mine is the 17th, my sister's is the 19th and my mom's is the 27th.

I am so happy that I have continued to get up
every morning at 6am to go walking for 30 to
 45 minutes. It makes my day awesome!

After the movie, the girl's met up with the

boyfriends and husbands at my mom's house.

This is what I saw when I pulled
into my mother's driveway:

The decorations were INSANE!! They

went way overboard...but in a good way!

There were pictures of me everywhere!!!

One of my favorite things to eat is concession stand food!
(I love to go to baseball games just for the food!)
So they had grilled hot dogs with chili,
pickles, queso & chips and popcorn!

As you can see, Sarah made an awesome cake that looked
like popcorn. It was made with fruit roll ups and marshmallows.


And my favorite...
The movie posters.

They somehow got a Super 8 movie poster and
had people who attended the party sign it.

Sarah also made a custom movie poster.
The thing that made me crack up was at the bottom it said
Written and Directed by God. And the actors and
producer's names were my family members. 

PS. There were more than nine people at the party - this picture was taken before the party. LOL!

After the scavenger hunt, we met at

Morelia Mexican Grill to have lunch.

After lunch, we went to see Super 8!

I had been super excited to see this movie.
I love everything J.J. Abrams does!!

I thought the movie was very good although
I think the ending could have been done better...

Best. Birthday. Ever. - Part 1

Here is the invitation that my sister-in-law (Liz) created
for my all-day birthday party on Saturday (June 18th).

As you will see, the whole day was movie themed.


Note: As you can see this picture was cropped. I had the back of the invitation shown
but realized that it had my home address and my mom's home address listed.
Here is what it said:
9:30 - Meet at Amy's House (Girl's Only)
10:00 - Movie Scavenger Hunt (Girl's Only)
-Bring a digital camera
12:00 - Meet at Morelia Grill (Girl's Only)
2:00 - Go to Movie (Girl's Only)
4:00 - Go to Rhonda's House (Boyfriends/Husbands welcome)

The girls met at my house at 9:30 am. Once everyone arrived,

my mother and Sarah (who created the game) took the time to

explain the rules of the Movie Scavenger Hunt. After they

explained the rules, they split us up into three groups and gave

us the scavenger hunt list and sent us on our way. We had to complete

as many items as we could and meet at the restaurant by noon.

It has been another amazing week!! Yay!

I am so happy my work let me

have off today for my birthday!!

I am so happy that I have an all day

party to look forward to on Saturday!!!

I am so happy that I've had another week

of getting up at six every morning.

(PS. I don't have to go to work until 8:30)

I am so happy I found a new healthy obsession.

forward to this summer?

I'm really looking forward to this Saturday. My family has

planned an all day event for my 30th birthday. They won't tell

me what the plan is but I know that the girls are getting together

for the all day event and then the guys will joins us for dinner.

traditions for the 4th of july?

Growing up, we would always go to Georgetown lake and

then we would drive to Andice (a very small town) and

watch their fireworks display. The thing I remember most

about going every year is the homemade ice cream! Yum!

Sadly, we don't have any 4th of July traditions anymore!

Three Wishes

This question is usually easy for me to answer but

for some reason - today I'm drawing a blank.

I guess my number one answer would be

the typical answer everybody would say:

Money.

But I only want enough money to live on

some land with my family and a few horses.

(And maybe five dogs.)

I wish my hair was naturally red.

I would love to not have to dye

my hair every couple of months.

It was really hard for me to come up with a third one.

I didn't want to choose something else about

my physical appearance and seem vain. :)

But I guess the current thing that has been stressing me out

 is coming up with $1,200 for Romey's knee surgery...

especially with my Cruise coming up in October.

Oh, happy day!





This has been an amazing week!!

And I am so happy!!!

I am so happy that the blind date has

officially been set up for this Saturday.

PS. Does it count as a blind date if the

mutual friend shows you pictures of each other?

I am so happy that three mornings this week, I got up
around 6:15 to 6:30 am to go walking for thirty minutes with
Ashley and Romey. It makes me feel great and makes my day AWESOME!

I am so happy that my work let me off on

Wednesday so I could go to the zoo with my family!

I am so happy that I got to spend some

time with Kristen and Anthony last night.

I've really missed seeing them.

I am so happy that I received my new iPhone 4 and that

I am officially up and running with Verizon Wireless!!

Good riddance, AT&T!

I am so happy that I am off next Friday.

(for my birthday - woo hoo!)

I am so happy that I get to go back to my church,

the Austin Stone Community Church this Sunday!

I've really missed it.

30 Day Blog Challenge: Day 26

Things to be happy about...

{one}

I'm off this Wednesday. Hooray, I get to go to the

awesome zoo in Waco, TX with my family and Ashley.

{two}

I just switched to Verizon Wireless from the worthless AT&T.

Now I can have an unlimited data plan and unlimited texting

with Verizon for the same price I had a small limited data plan

and limited texting with AT&T. AT&T is the worst!!

For the past few months - I have not been able to make a call

once without it dropping. So excited for my new phone to

come in tomorrow so I can start using Verizon!

{three}

Because I switched to Verizon - I had to get a new phone.

Which is really exciting to me because now I get to switch

 from the AT&T iPhone 3GS to the new Verizon iPhone 4.
This makes me very happy.

{four}

I get to hang out with my good friend Kristen on Thursday night.
 I don't see her very often so I'm excited to spend some time with her.

(PS. She is the one setting me up with her guy friend on a blind date.)

{five}

I've lost a total of 7.5 lbs within 2.5 weeks. Now

I only have to lose 7.5 lbs by Friday of next week to

lose a total of 15 lbs by my birthday.

I got up early this morning and went walking with Ashley

and Romey. We walked for about thirty minutes before I

had to get ready for work. Now I feel awesome!

Next week, I turn 30 and although I'm not happy about that...

I am happy that I am off work on my birthday (Friday the 17th)
and that my family has planned a surprise all-day birthday party.

I don't know the details. I just know that a group of us girl's

are getting together for an all-day thing and then we are

meeting up with the guys for dinner...I think?
